I thought that after you get "educated" you would be terminated if you went over again. Is this not true?? It seems like Sally got her call and is still going over. Why am I suffering.. |

Has Sprint taken any action against you? |

No I have yet to hear anything from them. But Sprint EVDO is very important to me as I work from the house and have no other options. In the past my usage was 50g plus a month but now I am trying(suffering) to get down to 5gig. |

| Is anyone here brave enough to keep going over the limit? More importantly are there people here that have been going over the limit since the new cap was implemented in July? |

| I've been over every month right up until this new cycle started a few days ago. I just got hooked up on cable at home so my EVDO card joins the ranks of laying in my laptop case - just like Sprint likes us to be. |

| Reading through a few threads it seems like no one has gotten booted off. I'm still not yet brave enough to go over the limit. |

AZDude...
If you started your contract before the change (July?) and you haven't had Sprint call to "educate" you... I wouldn't worry. |

| Thank you Sally I almost forgot about that. But I'm still not brave enough because I do need wireless internet. And I don't want them to cancel me and then have to go through and start with another provider (not to mention the cost). I'm probably going to get DSL soon and just use that in the appartment and leave my EVDO connection for the car. Don't want to have to do that but what can you do? |

Call Sprint and ask if your account has any limitations. Record it. That should be fun. (teasin' just a little)
Then ask the guys at your local Sprint store... preferably 2. Take names and note the date. Make sure they look up your account on their computer.
Now you have three sources that should say you're not hosed.

I've been over the stupid cap every month, granted not by alot though (a few gigs)...Haven't heard anything from them
A rep told me on the phone yesterday, you probably are good, unless you hit 20-30GB...So, take that for what it's worth |

1. Date notified of T&C change & how.
24May08 by bill
2a. Billing period end date and total data usage from Sprint website.
20Jan09, 7.86 GB*
2b. Sprint response, if any.
No response
3. Type of account & date opened.
Consumer acct opened Aug06
ORIGINAL NOTE: It seems Sprint has quit paying attention to those of us who signed a contract before 11-2-08 since there seems to be no examples of punishment of any kind for overages except for those who subscribed after that date.
UPDATED NOTE: Basesd on Max Indigo, who had a contract that began before the cap, getting cancelled by Sprint, it appears Sprint is finally going to selectively enforce the cap - at least for flagrant violators. _________________ Vista64 & EX720

Based on Max Indigo, who had a contract that began before the cap, getting cancelled by Sprint, it appears Sprint is finally going to selectively enforce the cap - at least for flagrant violators. The question now is "what will Sprint consider flagrant." _________________ Vista64 & EX720 |

No change - this was a new (sort of - see my post in another thread) account as of Feb 6 2009
2a. Billing period end date and total data usage from Sprint website.
3Apr09, ~12 GB*
This is bogus, since (a) I checked the sprint.com website every few days and it never showed any usage, and (b) no way I used that much, based on past usage.
2b. Sprint response, if any.
~$350 overage charge on my bill, and refusal to acknowledge any shortcoming on their part. Offered to reduce overage charge by 1/2 (to $175)
3. Type of account & date opened.
Consumer acct transferred Feb 6. |
