Didi the search and all 27k messages came up, I think. I thought I saw when signing up for verizon wireless broadband with the usb card that 5 email accounts were included. Anyone know if this is right? Doesn't really matter all that much but I did want a .verizon email address. Thanks and sorry if this has been asked and I just couldn't find it.

I was told by Verizon when I bought my USB720 card last summer that I had to use a 3rd party such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc. for my email and then route it into Outlook Express which I did without a problem. Maybe the newer cards have a email abilities. I now have switched to Sprint because of strength problems with Verizon with a u727 card and have had no problems staying the same way I had with Verizon.

Using Google Apps, you can set up your own domain and create up to 200 email addresses. For example, you could be Lnd@Svyr.com, or whatever you set up as a domain name (the word after the @ symbol). Cost is $10 a year for the domain name, and the rest is free.
The email can be web based, or you can set it up as POP or IMAP to work with your local email client (e.g., Outlook).
Doing this, you can carry your email forward any time you change ISP. Something worth looking into.

Thanks for the replies. I appear to have gmail working via IMAP septup in Outlook XP. Still, for $60/month I should get at least ONE emal account thru Verizon.

As far as I know none of the air card carriers offer email. They are strictly a device that allows you to get to the internet. Like I said earlier, neither Verizon or Sprint have it and I believe ATT&T does not offer it with that service. They may give it to you through their Worldnet web site, though. The reason is none of them have a home page set up for emails.
