Did the disconnect issues that affected alltel users also affect Verizon users?
I did a search on Kyocera's model number KPC680 and found a lot of threads talking about Alltel replacing the KPC680 cards with KPC680c cards that fixed an issue where the card would go dormant, and not "wake-up" or reconnect. The new KPC680c version released after 7/1/08 fixed this issue.
What I want to know is, did this issue affect Verizon people as well? If so, does the 3Gstore ship out the KPC680c card to Verizon customers?
Thanks again. |

though the verizon kpc680 has not been as popular as the v740, i can tell you that tech support has never warned the salesteam against selling the kpc680, nor have we had to ensure any specific hardware version was being sold.
i don't think this is an issue with verizon kpc680.
if you get one through 3gstore and experience any issues during the 30-day trial period, you can always exchange for the v740.
or, just get the usb727 and be done with it?

The Alltel KPC680c has EVDO Rev A firmware already installed. The previous Alltel KPC680 cards did not support EVDO Rev A without upgrading the firmware.
Verizon KPC680 have always supported EVDO Rev A. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

Thanks for the tips. I went ahead and ordered the USB727 from 3Gstore last night based on the overall advice.
I'll keep you posted on how everything works out. |
