Hey, I have searched for a solution to this issue and cna't seem to find anything...

I have two macs running Leopard (10.5) and an anydata ADU-310A USB CDMA EVDO modem. I want to share it between the two machines. Internet connection sharing between the laptops via Airport works but is inconsistent, signal is very weak and the laptop which doesn't have the modem installed gets horrendously slow speeds compared to the one hosting the modem.

I have a netgear WGR614 802.11B/G router and am trying to share the connection that way in hopes the signal will be stronger. I can get to the point of sharing but the netgear never recognizes that I'm shoving internet into it (I'm plugging my mac straight into the internet jack on the back of the router).

I have also looked at a solution like a Cradlepoint or KR1 router but I dont' think they support this Anydata USB modem.

Any ideas? I would really just liek to use the netgear but maybe it's not possible? Something like a Cradlepoint woudl be great cuase it would help me avoid always having to have a machine on to use this modem...

Thanks for any thoughts.

Jonathan
