It's anyones guess at this point. I just think Sprint is behind in getting their site updated. Time will tell I reckon. I was told all along I'd be grandfathered in however it appears or some say there will be no grandfathering lol.
It's like a soap opera eh? 
I imagine 3G will most likely have to change their notice on the whole thing soon if Sprint sticks to their track record of not knowing one end from the other. As a word of caution though I would not assume you are grandfathered or the cap doesn't apply to you. I just think Sprint is a bit slow in implementing their own changes.  I think it's a pretty much done deal . I'm pretty sure things will be clear as mud by weeks end lol. |

Same here, and now i have a new fixed wireless isp which is pretty good. I get some weird lag at times.. but over all good. |

Well, I did get the announcement. This morning is the day my plan turns over for the month, so I thought I'd check Sprint's website to see if it changed.
It still says unlimited. Probably Sprint is just slow to update their site. |

| Got myself transferred over to a month to month contract this morning, now if I get terminated by Sprint I don't have to worry about being charged a ETF. |

| I still show as unlimited 17gigs this cycle. july 19 it resets. Does anyone have an alternative to sprint evdo? hotspots don't help when evdo is your main connection at home. |

| says ive used 7 gigs this last month billing cycle wahtever. He said with 2gigs of overage i would be charged $20 at .001 a kilobyte lol. He also stated that if i exceded $75 of overages i would be terminated. So does the 5 gig limit start july 19th when my month is up. This is really a cliff hanger for me. Im currently in the process of buying parts for a new computer build but there wont be any reason to build a new PC if i cant even download updates or play games online. |

Read the opening message in this thread, particularly the last paragraph.
There is now a 5 GB cap. Period. As it stands now, Sprint SEEMS to be notifying only those who regularly exceed it by placing a notice on Page 2 of their bills. On the other hand they may start notifyng by phone or text message. All are legal. After you get notified, you can cancel with no Early Termination Fee or continue and take the chance of being canceled and charged the ETF. A couple in this thread have been charged, but will get it back if they challenge it in writing. |

I understand that you have said. One of the problems are that I do not receive my bills by mail, I check them on the net or go directly to the "pay stations" on the retail stores and as far as I know, I have not received any other notification on these changes. I actually got notice of this issue "accidentally" by surfing the net as usual. |

LOL funny stuff.
Don't you just love how they throw the 1% out like it's the word of God and some people actually fall for the "99% of Data card users download less than 5 gigs" ???They are putting the cell phone data users in the 5 gig percentage,which I will admit it would be pretty hard to use 5 gigs on a cell phone.
Hell,even a gig a day average isn't hard if you aren't some grandpa that just uses the internet for email. |

Pete, your complete bills, exactly as they would arrive in the mail, are posted onlne in PDF files. They are legal notification by the T&Cs, whether you choose to look at them or not.
When you sign into your account, go to the Billing & Payment section at the bottom of the page and click the "View latest bill" link.
On the next page in the left hand menu click the "Billing History & Analysis" link. It will bring up a list of your last 24 bills.
Click the links for the PDF versions of May, June and July and look at the upper left hand side of Page 2 for a message that looks just like this to see whether you were notified or not.

| well i calculated my overage fee's using the .001 cents per kilobyte and i will owe around $2,000? the dude at sprint said it would be $20. I really hate sprint. Whe i first got my card and it was unlimited i thought they were the bee's knee's but know they just discust me. everytime i talk to a rep i call them Haji just to irritate them for ripping me off |
