I wonder if WiMAX also works within this manager.
BTW, still doesn't work if VMWare is installed. You have to connect from Windows Network Connections rather than launching the SmartView. |

| Another new SCM? Hmm...I wonder how this will fare. The last one screwed up my connection and made my px-500 unable to connect or be even recognized by my old scm. I had to uninstall some stuff and reinstall stuff just to get my internet connection back. I think I'll wait a while on this one. |

Just downloaded and installed.
It detects my 595U but when I clicked connect, it says
- "An extenal connection is already present, connection not allowed."
Old SCM works fine. Go figure !

At this time, there really is no point for a macintosh user to switch over from OS X's built-in connection system.
Found on page 40 of the Sprint SmartView 1.81 User pdf:
● The Update PRL and Update Firmware functions are not available in the current Sprint SmartView release for Mac OS. To obtain updates to your device's Preferred Roaming LIst or its Firmware, you will need to connect the device to a Windows system running Sprint SmartView release 1.11 (or above). The corresponding buttons are both present and functional in the Windows version of the software.
Also there is no option in the software to allow you to enable NDIS in OS X. |

Doesn't work at all. Will not connect. Keeps asking for my admin password as if I'm installing the program when I try to connect...and then does nothing. An hour with Sprint tech support yielded nothing, they have no idea why it doesn't work.
Sigh... |

Our tech department had one customer have this issue, so it isn't common or widespready - but they did get them past the problem and all is well. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I didn't buy this card from you guys, but I did buy my previous Kyocera card and Kyocera Router, plus I just purchased the Cradlepoint MBR1000 from you, any chance you might consider sharing the fix with me? |

| Does anyone know if this new version of SCM or whatever they're calling it today... will work with VMWare installed on the Windows XP machine? |

I had the same problem with my AC595 and the old SCM when I tried using NDIS (instead of DUN). I could connect only if I disabled the NIC to my home network. In the end, I gave up and went back to DUN. |
