So, you are considering BroadbandAccess, but you have one problem, you don't need it 12 months out of the year. Perhaps, you only need it 6 months out of the year or 3 months out of the year?

There is an answer, it is called Verizon Vacation Mode and here is how it works.

Before you vacation or travel plans, call Verizon @ 800-922-0204 and tell Verizon to put your account on Vacation Mode. There will be a charge of $15 and then your account will be disabled. When you return from your vacation, call Verizon and enable your account. Your contract time will start back up after you enable your account. For example, if you sign a 12 month agreement and you have 6 months left and then you go on a 1 month vacation, when you enable your account, you will still have 6 months left on your contract. So, your contract time does not count down during vacation mode.

A vacation mode can be a maximum of 3 months. After 3 months, your account will automatically be enabled. You can have 2 vacation modes per 12 months. So, if you only need your account 6 months out of the year, you can put it on vacation mode. Then, be sure to call Verizon again at 3 months to enable. You will pay an another $15 for the 2nd vacation mode.
