More points to favor 3gstore handling Alltel services:

Their support compared to Alltel tech support - well, if anyone has used Alltel tech support the answer is obvious: 3gstore wins hands down!!

Their knowledge of accessories compared to Alltel sales reps - the majority of Alltel sales reps I have dealt with have little (if any) knowledge of items related to phones and/or aircards.

Additionally, 3gstore WANTS to help you - Alltel often acts like they are doing you a favor to talk to you!

It's 3gstore the winner in every conceivable comparison!!!

I vote for 3G store to sell alltel. My wife still uses an alltel card and we're getting close to the 2 year renewal and I'd love to be able to renew my service for her card through 3gStore and not have to deal with the local Alltel reps who don't really understand the service and don't want to sell it because they can't add on any extra's to jack the price up.

I've not dealt with support much but I'd much rather deal with 3G stores support people then any wireless support people.

I would love for 3GStore to sell Alltel Service and products.

Most local Alltel stores do not have staff that is really knowledgeable and current about EVDO technology and what it can do. Mainly because the local stores specialize in selling regular cell phone service, not internet service. The staff at 3GStore specialize in EVDO and using EVDO for internet service.

I think it would benefit both 3GStore and Alltel if 3GStore were to sell Alltel products. Alltel will get a store dedicated to EVDO and internet connections and 3GStore will get more sales.

Personally, I have not done much here lately since 3GStore does not officially sell/support Alltel products. I run a side job of PC support out in my rural community. In the past, I have recommended Alltel EVDO as their home internet connection. Generally, that would mean that I would have to go with them to the local Alltel store to sign them up in order to be sure they got the right equipment and services. It would be nice to just go to 3GStore and order everything from their house while I was there.

Basically, I think it is a Win/Win situation.

I have been confused for some time why you guys don't support Alltel. The way I see it, most of the traffic to this is site is from people trying to use EVDO as their primary home internet, and share it with other computers. Or IT people trying to use EVDO at a remote site, or something.

Alltel is a more "rural" provider, but has quite a bit of coverage. For example, in Arkansas. It covers about 85% of the state and is in areas were DSL or Cable isn't.

You'd get alot of business from these people who want to ditch dial-up.

i certainly feel 3g store should sell and service Alltel. The technical support alone would be great. The Alltel equipment and service area is very good but their customer service is not good and their stores are too crouded

Yes ! Because we need your service, there is no one else who cares enough to help us even though you don't have products for us. Hope you make a big fat profit from us if you go with Alltel. I will have need of more of your products soon. Bobby

I would really like to see 3Gstore sell and support Alltel's Axcess service. When I originally signed up for the service, the Alltel reps at the local store were pretty much clueless about their Axcess Broadband service and the required data card(s). It would've been nice to have a central store that carried not only the service and hardware, but also supplied the technical support that 3Gstore is known for. You guys rock and I hope that ya'll can pursue providing support for Alltel's service.

And like other people here, I wouldn't have even known about EVDO if it wasn't for the forum and information site provided by 3Gstore. Was doing some searching around for high speed Internet access in rural areas and just happened to run across the forum... the rest is history. ^_^

I am a new EVDO user in rural Arkansas. I have been more impressed with the customer service at this data/telecom company than ANY. EVDO Forums was my first google stop when researching the new (to me) EVDO technology. I figured that Alltel was not discussed (or sold) here because Alltel was new on the EVDO scene. Absolutley get on with Alltel, I'm ready to buy some gear to bump up my home office. Need some good direction and gear from the G3 store!

I vote YES for support of Alltel service. My phone co. was the only game in town and they did absolutely nothing to upgrade their service. I ditched them, got ALltel EVDO 1x and haven't looked back. I found this site hoping to get a router and wireless at home but unfortunately found out that my card ec360 and service aren't yet supported. So help us poor Alltel customers get into the mainstream. By the way I'm very new at this but your site has helped me gain a lot of knowledge about this new to me iwat to access the nternet. Keep up the great work, thanks,
ken

For one reason or another, its just never happened.
Once again, 3Gstore is throwing this thing around and this time we wondered to ourselves what others might think of the idea.

So how about Alltel-ites and Alltel-customers-in-waiting?
Why would you like to see 3Gstore sell Alltel EVDO Service?

O.K., Alex

You've had plenty of replies - all requesting 3Gstore to handle Alltel.

So quit horsing around and do it!! Wink

I have had trouble getting knowledgeable help with EVDO at the corporate Alltel stores. For instance, when I first got service last September they sold me a KPC680 and KR1, before the USB adapter was available for the KPC680. They had no idea the router wouldn't work with the PC card without the adapter. It took me a lot of effort to figure that out and then to get them to swap the KPC680 for a KPC650.

This is the sort of problem that I see the 3Gstore heading off before it happens.

I like the alltel but thee support is sorry to say, lacking!! I have had problems with the KR1 and the cards that it would support and would have had the problem solved by now if 3G was the support center. I cannot count how many times in the last year I have had problems with connections and after repeated times I was able to find the issue here and If, I could have called 3G, Would have solved the issues right there and then!! I think this would be a super great idea if we who are road warriors can get the kind of support that 3G has for Sprint and Verizon. I think that Alltel would be benefited by the support and service they handle. I hope this will be a great future with 3G!! Capt. Dan Very Happy
