its
i just manually updated the prl last night just like someone here told someone how to do from a website. i already for got the name.
Im in springdale,ar right now its9:23 am and ive been pulling this off for a couple hours now
just a fluke huh?
still think is just a chance that my card glitched? this is even off a different server
did this prl make my card work on rev. a. service???
thanks all i was about to cancel alltel after last night of 1x only connectionsnow when my connection goes is starts about 400 then climbs to 800 as my latency catches up is really jumpy 500-900 then it goes to the top speed and holds steady within 10kbps .. so what happened.. ??yes i am bitching about my internet bieng too fast.

I tried like 50 times last night to update my prl.. and got "activation failed" everytime..
whats the trick? |

use ctrl d in quicklink mobile..... then a screen asks for a password. type 6 zeros " 000000" then a screen will come up and ask for a activation code use 000000 for that as well then browse for your downloaded prl and hit enter. wait about a minute ...
your app may say that your card is configured un correctly.. dont fret it just reboot the computer and then you are good to go..
and that ping is good for me. i usually get 600-700 pings i have got 375 pings before |

rev A pings would be lower than 500-600 from what I have read.
I did exactly what you just said with the prl update.
as soon as I hit the button to load the prl it says "activation failed" |

did you use 000000 (6 zero's) for the activation code where you upload the prl and enter activation code.
I did mine in 64 bit vista ultimate....... with 32 bit quicklink mobile.
do you still have the activation code you got when you got the card?? use that
i still dont care if i get that ping.. i dont do any gaming or ping reliant services
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
yet another one... this is the lowset speed ive gotten all day

20029? or 40029?
nah I am at work so haven't tried it yet. I was doing the 000000 maybe i should use the code they gave me.. or did they give me one? hmmm...
Yeah if ping doesn't matter to you, then your smoking.
for me, I need a decent ping because I do light gaming.
rev A will be here soon, I can feel it. |

bobevdo, those are indeed smoking Rev 0 speeds!! Rev A speeds, of course will increase your uploads mainly . . . .into the 200 - 400 kbps normally.
As for your latency could you do a ping test in command prompt? Open command prompt and type :
ping www.google.com
Then maybe let us know what it reports your average to be? Speedtest's latency report is never correct for some reason. Probably to do with some type of compression or something . . . . . . anyway, TIA. |

| Cool. Thanks. And, FWIW, your PRL is 40029 instead of 20029. Data cards start with a 4. Also, it shows on the image you uploaded as 40029. (See the PM I just sent you) |

| Quote: | | call alltel tech support and have them force push the prl for you just be sure your are in native alltel coverage and leave it connected for 24 hours then that "might do it just demand (nicely) that they update your prl ask over and over again if they refuse to work with you........... |
here is the summary results
