MNVO = Mobile Virtual Network Operator

MVNOs establish cellular companies using other vendors' infrastructures and typically target their efforts at specific market niches.

For example, Virgin Mobile is a MNVO that uses Sprint Network.

Disney announce in July 2005, they are becoming a MNVO that uses the Sprint Network.

iPass recently become an MNVO that uses Verizon's EVDO Network.

You will be hearing A LOT about AMP'd, they have big bucks and they will be using Verizon's network.

There are some rumors that Apple Computer and Wal-Mart will become MNVO. For the latest MNVO information, visit:

This information becomes important, since EVDO is a shared bandwidth technology. If anyone knows of other MNVOs, please post them here, along who the target market/services offered for each MNVO.
