it's about freaking time; gee, it's _only_ 2 months late.....
Either way, I'll try this out; hopefully bytemobile isn't too terrible (or can be turned off). |

1. Do you only want to have one of the HA profiles enabled, or do you want to have them all enabled?
a. If you have all of ur Ha Profiles enabled, does SCM connect to
the first profile?
2. With the old SCM you could see what HA Address you are connected to the network with. How do you see which HA Address you are connected to the network with the new SCM?
3. Why don't the Ha Adresses just automatically load into SCM. If there are new Ha adresses, just add them with the software or firmware update?
4. Would be nice if they built a interface for vista sidebar gadgets in the future.
5. Down in the task bar where the SCM icon is located, would be cool if you could place your currsor over it and a instead of the little screeen that pops up saying that you are connected to sprint broadband if it would give signal strength, type of connection. Just a little feed back on options that could be added to the software.
6. Over all I think the new app is much better and look forward to checking out the new features. _________________ Vista64,EX720 |

The latest connection manager that this thread is discussing is for Windows only, not Mac. The Mac version is under development - considering that this Windows version took so long to get out - I am sure that Mac version is still a bit down the road. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

First off DO NOT DELETE THE PROFILES THAT ARE IN ##DATA, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR CARD IN OPERABLE! AND YOU WILL PROBABLY BE ON THE PHONE WITH TECH SUPPORT!
See this thread:
http://www.evdoforums.com/thread7537.html
I have not dug deeper into this issue due to lack of ideas at this point to further trouble shoot it.
Maybe we should start a thread dedicated to just the new SCM HA Address issues.
Merry Christmas and happy new year.

|
|
Hey everyone,
I have the Pantech PX500. I installed the new SCM the other day, and ever since then, I'm unable to connect to my local wireless network. Sprint works just fine, but sometimes I want to connect to my home network! I tried uninstalling, re-installing, and even reverting back to the old SCM, but I still can't get it to work now... any suggestions?
Thanks!

I had several problems and went through multiple iterations deinstalling, attempting to fall back to old connection manager and reinstalling the new connection manager.
The biggest problem I was having was the wifi functions were overiding my IBM connection manager software. This was causing my home network to not function properly. I never could get my home network to work through the new connection manager even though the software showed I was connected to it with the green box.
After I checked the option box "use this as my default WI-FI management utility" under the client tab on the settings option, which turned off the wifi portion, my network started functioning and all is working great now. I have been running the new software for a couple of days now.
I have a Pantec PX-500 card. |

I disabled it as my default wi-fi management utility, but I'm still having problems :\ |

Don't know if this is any help but I also run Internet Connection Sharing. The new Connection Manager installs a new dialup adapter that I had to activate and reconfigure ICS for.

Hey!
So I found the problem... I have MAC Address filtering on my router... well it seems that after the new SCM got installed, the MAC address of my wireless on my laptop got changed by 1 number, so that was preventing it! Might want to check that out... lemme know!
