Good News...

Sprint will be delivering an updated Sprint Connection Manager (SCM) that supports ALL shipping data cards. No longer will this cool new interface only be available for the 2 Sierra AirCards.

Look for this update to be available as a free download from Sprint next week!

So i'm assuming no support for the U720 or older cards that are no longer shipping?

Sprint locked you into a 2 year data card agreement on purchase. It has to provide support at least that long (unless it gives you a free exchange to a supported card of equal or greater quality or cancels you account).

Right, I wasn't talking about support for the card itself, but just support for the card within the new connection manager, since so far i've only seen mention of it supporting currently shipping cards. I hope they don't just leave the rest on the old style SCM.

That would be a bummer. It's unlikely though since the reason for one-size-fits-all is to reduce costs and workload.

Also, look for the new Sprint Connection Manager to have a Sprint Optimization Client which is from Bytemobile.

I think Bytemobile was used in previous connection managers and then removed.

Be interesting to see how it works with this updated SCM.
