Hopefully it will still allow ##DATA tuning.
Update: Looks like a new CM has been released for Sierra cards. Is it with this GUI?

If someone has tried this, let me know if ##DATA still works.

one must wonder though; why is there Wi-Fi support? Strange; perhaps there will be tri-cards in the future; one's that support WiMAX, Wi-Fi, and EVDO Revision 0/A/B.
Anyway, I'll be looking forward to this connection manager; it looks all nice and spiffy. |

Verizon's VZAccess Manager offers WiFi support too.
It is there as a convenience so you can easily switch to WiFi from a single application.
I personally find it a PITA with Verizon and we recommend NOT letting VZAccess Manager manage WiFi.
The good news with the new Sprint Connection Manager, is that the WiFi feature can be disabled/hidden, if you do not want it. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

oh, ok, so the card itself doesn't have a Wi-Fi chipset, it just manages the internal laptop (or even NIC) WiFi, correct?
I'm glad Sprint has made it so you can enable/disable this feature; it's something I'll probably never use, anyway (as most of the places that I travel to are already EVDO Revision 0 or A). Still, I'm sure that if it's not a pain in the butt like the Verizon one, it could suit some purpose... |

FYI, just got this info from Sprint at the CTIA booth:
The new connection manager will support the same features as the old one, it is just a different GUI, so ##DATA, ##DEBUG, etc, will still work. However, probably a good idea to do some testing when it is finally released. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |
