| I have a PB G4 with 10.3.9 and I installed the drivers that came with my U720 from 3Gstore and it works fine. Yes, I know, it said it would not work, but I gave it a try and it worked! |

| Please contact 3Gstore.com support for that. They have been quite helpful since I bought my U720 from them. |

So there's no solution short of begging 3Gstore?
I've given them over a grand for various gear over the years, but didn't buy my U720 from them. |

I wonder why it is so difficult to understand that this whole forum, the evdoinfo.com site, etc. are all a service that we are so lucky to receive at no cost. The forum administrators are more than knowledgeable and exceedingly helpful.
When you purchase a product, that product may include service and information. How could the 3Gstore be expected to offer that service and info to people who chose to put there money for products (that are sold at the 3Gstore) elsewhere. Why would a respectable business give free service to anyone when the only way they make money on any of this is through items or services sold?
II get annoyed when it is implied that a business in greedy when it sells its services exactly as it has stated it will!
No, I don't work for these guys. I just appreciate what they do for/with us, and I respect their business.

macbenz/toad... here's an option.
if you are still within your trial period, simply cancel that useless device and then buy a u720 from 3gstore.
you'll get the best mac+evdo customer support that exists in the world. |

I'm not criticizing the 3Gstore, just annoyed that a solution was available then removed. I don't know that it's fair to force people to buy from them to have access to what others are trying to share solutions to for free. I had an already active account with sprint and bought my u720 at a store a block from my home for the same price as here, only without shipping. I bought my cdu 550 from 3Gstore, and began my sprint account with em, got my KR1 from them, and a 3G, even. I'm not knocking their service, but there's a tension between being an information source and trying to monopolize access to the solution to a problem. (And yes, I know this is all really sprint's fault, which is another reason I don't mean to sound over-critical of 3Gstore.)
As for canceling my useless (? howso?) u720, great idea. No net for a week or so and the extra however much for shipping sounds like a wonderful solution to me. |

Since, you have purchased a bunch of stuff from us, how about this...
Select our Mac Pre-Activation service, so that you get the device ready to use and a CD with all the software and our support and we will overnight it to you at no extra cost to you. If you order by 12pm CST, and have it 2 days later (Sprint ships to us, we get the next day, we overnight it to you). _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I think the removal in question was the private party drivers by Mac.Intosh who may have requested it. Any way, that was obsoleted by Apple's WWAN drivers.
If you are referring to deletion of posts providing info on how to do things, when did this happen?
I would assume that any 'solution' sold by 3G would have been thorougly tested and should work, unlink many 'free' shared solution which may not work or be on topic.
A wise business supports its customers, not its competitor's clients. Any business will soon go out of business if it gives its products away for free. |

Yeah, the Apple WWAN support works fine for me. I'm using EX720 with Sprint on my MacBook Pro. I would had bought from 3Gstore, but I was in a time crunch at the moment to get internet access. I've been going months without internet access, and I run my business through the internet mostly, if that explains why I had to go through retail. The Sprint retail people actually know what's needed to get it working under Mac OS X, at least the one I went to did. The manager has a MacBook Pro, and he even wrote down all the information I'd need to connect using Mac OS X. I had to activate using Windows of course, but I did it on location so I could complain if it didn't work. I can even return it within 30 days if I wanted. If I get a second card and new service, I'll buy from 3Gstore though.
As for U620, the Sprint manager recommended it since I had a Mac, but I did my research and had a free ExpressCard slot. I heard that ExpressCard was faster than USB anyways for EVDO. (Better signal) |

| I can verify that my new Santa Rosa based PowerBook does work without any extra software with my Verizon Express card. Awesome! |

Your right, sorry for the mis-type. Yes, I meant to type MacBookPro. I guess it would hard to use an Express card with a PowerBook or even a MacBook for that matter. Sorry about the confusion. |
