According to your list in the other thread my primary and secondary HA's are both in CA, which is as close as I can hope for.
A reverse DNS lookup shows me connecting from area1.spcsdns.net. |

well maybe my problem is because of the chicago problem since that is where my HA is. I will have to try playing with that tonight and my antenna should be here friday to help with my -80 at home. _________________ Peace

Location: El Pollo Loco ..... hahah.... Carlsbad, CA 92011
Signal strength at my house is not so great, so I'm testing while out at dinner. Also, it should be noted that I'm seeing not-so-great performance when going through the linksys router at home... like it doesn't want to do Rev A, but it could also be the crappy signal there |

Sorry to do this, because it's not backed up with a speedtest, but I got the yellow arrows at about 2:30 p.m. EST just northwest of Boston, MA (in Somerville, 02143). I moused over the signal of the connection manager of my Pantech PX-500, and it definitely said "Rev A." I ran a speedtest to NYC, but the results were weird (425Kbps download, and 716Kbps (!!!) upload - 236ms latency). Tried to run another one, and my laptop battery ran out.
How I'm home, in Marblehead (18 miles northeast, 01945), and no yellow arrows. Sigh.
It was there. Really.

I talked to a sprint rep here, but have not been able to verify.
Rev A in Woburn MA areas. _________________ - Npavlo |

REV A is showing in the Shelby NC area. 28150. Due to the firmware problems with the S720, I can't actually connect to it. Will update once this problem is resolved. |

Pantech card is rock solid, did an update last night and performance continues to be rock solid, though I wish they would activate Rev A in Buena Park, CA.

| My impression so far is I'm not all that impressed by the numbers I'm seeing. Of course it could be they still need to do a lot of fine tuning to the network. Or is this what others feel is about right? |

REV A is showing in the San Diego, CA area. 92025. Due to the firmware problems with the S720, I can't actually connect to it. Will update once this problem is resolved.
Before the firmware I was getting 1200 down but only 30 up [?]. Why would the up be so slow, I'm about 40 feet from the tower, tween the tower and the equipment.
I took the S720 to Novatel and they will work on it Monday and get it back to me by Friday. _________________ Be Happy |

A tests in two cities in the past four days (only two of them logged on dslreports, alas), all three of which had upload speeds over 600Kbps.
I'm pretty impressed.

I also was getting ping times of 135-145ms to google.com
This is with the Pantech PX-500 card, in Brookline, Mass (right next to Boston).
The card reports Rev A is active in this area.
This confirms what npavlo reported from Woburn, Mass. |

I'm testing here in La Jolla CA today and my results are similar to before, but I clocked a 450-ish upload, download is still not that great (much less than I get on Rev 0 at work). I saved it to the archive at dslreports.
Latency is good. 80's within the sprint network hops, jumping to mid 100s as it leaves Sprint. Ping to evdoforums.com is 180-ish, pings to vonage.com are in the 130s.
I'm inside a biomedical/chemistry research lab, I'm surprised I'm getting such a strong signal at -65db. There's a lot of EMI here. |
