Hey guys, the KR1 officially launched this morning. You can pick it up at the Kyocera Accessory store, http://store.kyocera-wireless.com/product_detail.aspx?productID=4647. It is $299.99 with a $50 Mail In Rebate if you purchase an EVDO PC Card with it. Also, first time users of the site will recieve 15% off their order.

Edit: Mike is now selling it on this site. Go buy it from him.

And if you use coupon code COMFS you should get free shipping.

First thing about the router yes I am happy its available..Butttt

They are not shipping till Thursday. Which means I had to pay $19 Fedex shipping to have it overnight to get friday otherwise not till next.

second when you register they dont give you the 15% discount you have to call customer care back and argue with them for the discount.

Third Coupon Code COMFS only covers Postal Shipping which means 2 weeks or more.

Fourth only good thing they said the $50 rebate is good no matter when you bought the Kyocera Card. I told them I bought 6 months ago they said it didnt matter.

So this is the truth as I experienced it today. I guess I shouldnt get angry but they should have said were not releasing the routers till the Feb 1st. on the website.. Geez bad company already...Yes Flame me...Im mad Evil or Very Mad

I'm also offering towels to everyone who screamed about the product being vaporwear and never actually coming out. It's much easier to wipe that egg off before it dries. Mr. Green

I've ordered one and was charged $19 in taxes. I don't see that very often for online orders.

Even though you can get a discount if buying a Verizon/Kyocera card, Sprint still offers EVDO cards for free...

I have a FedEx confirmation number from the Kyocera Store website that shows delivery by 10:30 AM tomorrow (Wednesday, 1 February) -- FedEx does not have it in their possession yet, but here's hoping!!!

BTW, the $50 rebate for the KR1 - HPC650 combo is sweet given the fact that I only paid $60 for the KPC650 (VZW B2B discount).

They sold out...They dont have any idea when they will get more. I was able to get a Fedex Tracking and they said my order was able to get processed. I know I was piss about the router being $300 too.

Any idea on how many they had for this inital release? One would think that they would have been ready for the demand given the fact that they have been promoting the router for nearly a year!!! Kyocera never even announced availability to those of us who signed up for notification when the product was released...

I got lucky also and got in before they were sold out. I just checked my FedEx tracking and they picked up my KR1 at 2:58 pm with delivery to be before noon Wednesday. Laughing Laughing Too bad I have to work. I hope it's as easy to set up as the KPC650 was. I'm usually the "wait and see how it works" type but jumped in the water on this one because of the testing and review done by this site. Thanks for all the info.
