| Let me know if Verizon VZAccess works. I have remote RTU's which I want to connect using the Verizon PCMCIA card. I'll have a working laptop on site to configure the card so I can verify strength before using the card. However, I want to be able to connect seamlessly. |

| Is there any information on if/how this works for Alltel Axcess Mobilelink customers like myself? I purchesed a brand new Dell Inspiron E1505 which does not have PC card slot, only the new ExpressCard. I am wondering if this USB device would be worth my investment so I can still use my KPC650? Thanks for any info.. |

I spoke to a rep at VM Systems today and they said the Linux drivers are available and the MAC drivers are scheduled for November 2006.

$38 shipping to US
Now I can get a Macbook!
I can't believe Elan is the only company in the world making something like this. Anybody have any other lead on a similar product? |

If the company doesn't have a track record of creating Mac Drivers, I would wait until they have something you can download first.
It is hard to tell from their web site, what products or services they actually provide. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I have the U132 and although it works, it seems to dropped connection at a frustrating rate. Is there something I can do about this? I purchased this around 6 months ago.
I have the Dell Inspiron E1505 running XP media.
Thank you

I'm getting a new personal laptop and have an S720 card. My work laptop only has PCMCIA slots so I can't upgrade my card yet.
I've been looking for laptops that have HDMI, ExpressCard, PCMCIA and only found a Sony AR series that have all three but I don't want a gigantic 17" screen. There is an FZ series 15" that has HDMI and ExpressCard slot only so I'd have to use a USB/PCMCIA adapter such as this to use the S720.
So does this adapter or another one work with Vista/XP and S720 card?
I've also found this, which claims to work with 3G cards...

i believe the elan only worked with the S620, and many who had it said it worked badly if at all.
the quatech is the elan 132... and at that $200+ price, aren't you better off with a router?
another option for you might be the dueladapter. i think mike is dusting it off and will write a review now that there is a beta driver for osx 10.4.9 |

Thanks, I may consider the dueladapter. I might also consider swapping my card for a U720 but would rather wait.
BTW, I looked at Apple notebooks and was surprised that none have HDMI out and I don't think any have ExpressCard/54. Apple is a little too minimal for power users surprisingly, especially for the price.
If anyone knows of a notebook with around 15" screen, HDMI out (with audio), ExpressCard and PCMCIA slots and Bluetooth 2.0, please PM me. The Sony AR series is exactly what I want except the big 17" screen - too big to carry. |
